
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved 13 extra scholastic programmes for Lens University Ilemona following an effective resource confirmation exercise performed by the Commission.
The approval followed an NUC team performed a resource evaluation check out to the organization on Might 9, 2026.
In a letter dated June 16, 2026, and signed by the Director of Academic Preparation at the NUC, Abubakar M. Girei, the Commission conveyed the approval to the university management.
According to the letter, the Executive Secretary of the NUC approved the establishment of the programs in full-time mode at the university’s main campus, with impact from the 2026/2027 academic session.
Part of the letter stated: “I am directed to inform the Vice-Chancellor that the Executive Secretary has thought about and approved the establishment of the full-time mode of the following programmes to be run at the Main Campus of the University with effect from the 2026/2027 academic session.”
