The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has stressed the importance of optimising electrical power supply as an important chauffeur of Nigeria’s industrialisation and socio-economic advancement during the maiden Differentiated Alumni Lecture arranged by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Devices Engineering, Professors of Engineering.
The lecture, held on Wednesday, August 5, was provided by the Managing Director and President of the Niger Delta Power Holding Business (NDPHC), Engr. Jennifer Adighije.
Speaking on the style of optimised electrical energy for national advancement, Adighije highlighted the critical role of trustworthy power supply in speeding up Nigeria’s commercial development, promoting development, and improving the nation’s worldwide competitiveness.
She noted that a steady and effective electricity sector stays essential to economic change, urging stakeholders to accept useful services that will improve power generation, transmission, and distribution across the country.
