
The University of Lagos, UNILAG, has actually taken another action towards completely restoring its Students’ Union with the election of a new President and General Secretary for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The election, held on Friday, March 6, 2026, was collaborated by the Directorate of Student Affairs under the management of the Dean, Johnson Agunsoye.
The voting workout took place at the Common Space of Moremi Hall on the university campus.

Speaking after the election, Teacher Agunsoye described the process as a fulfilment of the commitment made by the Vice-Chancellor, Folasade T. Ogunsola, to help with the return of the Students’ Union in the university.
