Safeguarding the NYSC Mobilisation Process
The development at UDUS highlights a growing nationwide concern regarding irregularities in student records.
In recent years, the NYSC headquarters has intensified its crackdown on “fake graduates” and the illegal sale of mobilisation slots, putting immense pressure on tertiary institutions to sanitise their internal databases.
By taking decisive action against an internal staff member, UDUS management aims to send a clear warning that any personnel found to compromise the integrity of the institution’s graduation lists will face the full weight of university statutes.
Commitment to Transparency
University authorities reiterated their commitment to transparency and accountability, assuring the public that the Registry Department is undergoing a review of its digital protocols to prevent future unauthorised access to the mobilisation portal.
The management further urged students and the general public to report any staff soliciting gratifications or engaging in “short-cuts” for mobilisation, noting that the reputation of the “City of Knowledge” remains a priority that must be protected from administrative malfeasance.
