Responsible Care and Employment

In order to develop solutions for fixing up the care of a relative with employment, the BMBFSFJ has established an independent advisory board, which started its 3rd term of workplace in September. Deputy Chair of the Independent Board Of Advisers on Work-Care Reconciliation is Adjunct Teacher Christian Deindl from TU Dortmund University, who carries out research on the sociology of family, health, and life course. The advisory board consists of 21 members in overall, designated by the ministry, and includes academics, politicians, in addition to representatives of interest groups, trade unions, employers, well-being associations, and insurance suppliers.

During their five-year term of office, the members serve on an honorary basis and set their own priorities. In working groups, they engage with current studies and literature, go over options, and develop strategies. In addition, they accompany the implementation of appropriate legal regulations and provide guidance on the results of existing legislation.
