At an official prize ceremony, the City of Dortmund honored the most effective teams and particularly active participants. Christoph Edeler, Head of University Sports at TU Dortmund University and accountable for arranging its involvement in the competition, accepted the reward on its behalf.
He was accompanied by other members of TU Dortmund University who substantially contributed to its success. Alexa Fischer racked up 1,175 kilometers, making her the university’s top woman bicyclist. With an excellent 2,456.7 kilometers, Thomas Weyer attained the best in-house result amongst the men. Also present at the prize ceremony was Dr. Timm Treskatis. He represented the Mathematics team, which logged 10,076.5 kilometers, the most of any of the university’s teams.
