Applications are open for the SystemSpecs Children’s Day Essay Competition 2026. The competitors was presented to give students throughout Nigeria a platform to produce and share original ideas that can change the country favorably through information technology. This Year’s essay style puts transportation at the centre; the job is clear, and the difficulty is severe.
Table of contents Essay subject for 2026 The essay topic is:”Accomplishing a Much Safer and More Effective Transport System in Nigeria through Information Technology”
This subject asks trainees to write on how infotech can help make transport in Nigeria much safer and more effective for people and items across roadway, rail, air, water, and maritime transportation.
What the essay needs to address
The competition asks students to look beyond physical infrastructure and focus on how digital tools can enhance the way transportation systems work.
Entries are expected to determine genuine transportation problems Nigerians face every day, such as:
- accidents
- congestion
- freight loss
- insecurity in transit
- poor emergency response
- absence of security awareness
Trainees are to propose practical, technology-driven ideas that fit everyday Nigerian life and can work at scale.
The objective appears enough; the essay should show how info, information, and digital systems can help individuals take a trip more responsibly, aid authorities respond better, and assist goods move more safely.
Competitors categories
The competition has 2 classifications.
Junior classification
Age 9 to 12, with a maximum of 1,000 words
Senior category
Age 13 to 16, with an optimum of 1,500 words
Prizes for winners
The specified prizes are:
First place
N1,000,000 plus 120GB data
Second place
N750,000 plus 90GB data
3rd location
N500,000 plus 60GB information
Eligibility requirements
The competition is open to children in Nigeria who are 9 years old and not older than 16 years by 9 February 2026.
Each entry should be backed by a recognized school official, moms and dad, or legal guardian.
The submission needs to be the participant’s original work. Plagiarism is not permitted.
