
Rowan University Partners with HPE on New Learning Initiative New Jersey’s
Rowan University has expanded its collaboration with enterprise innovation provider HPE to improve research study capabilities and hands-on knowing opportunities. The new learning initiative was delivered in collaboration with technology service supplier SHI International, and the objective is to boost the university technology environment’s performance and strength to make it possible for development.
SHI worked with Rowan’s Info Resources & Technology (IRT) team to develop a colocation center with a brand-new information center, which will bolster resiliency in case of a disaster. The job “line up [s] options throughout HPE’s networking, compute, storage, data center networking and HPC portfolios, and provid [es] warehousing and release services,” according to the news announcement, and led to 2 information centers and a high-performance computing cluster.
The upgrade will allow faculty and researchers to work faster with large information sets, advanced analytics, and complex models. It will offer students hands-on experience will supercomputing systems, business platforms, and AI tools utilized throughout scholastic work, research study assistant visits, class projects, and internships.
“Universities demand more from their IT environments than ever previously, from supporting research study at supercomputing scale to offering trainees hands-on experience with the exact same enterprise tools they’ll use after graduation,” said Denise Collison, SHI’s senior vice president of Public Sector. “We have constructed an environment that works as one system, not a collection of separate upgrades. Rowan’s researchers and students now have an innovation foundation that supports existing and future requirements.”
Rowan’s execution of HPE’s service includes the following elements to expand its capacity and improve service levels:
- HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 and HPE Zerto Software application, which support data schedule and recovery;
- HPE ProLiant DL385 Gen11 GPU and HPE Synergy 480 Gen12, which support teaching, research study, and shared services;
- HPE high-performance storage, which supports massive analytics and modeling; and
- HPE Aruba Networking, which strengthens campus connection.
