Purdue-Google Collaboration to Advance AI-Enabled Education and Research Study
In a relocation targeted at empowering the Purdue community to integrate AI across several facets of the institution, Purdue University has actually announced a strategic collaboration with Google Public Sector. Partnership Components
Aspects of the collaboration include:
- A five-year commitment to the Google Partnership for Accelerated Research Study (GPAR) program, which makes it possible for access to Google Cloud’s AI enterprise tools and software for Purdue trainees, faculty, researchers and personnel.
- Purdue will work together with Google on an AI proficiency graduation requirement for trainees.
- Purdue will receive access to Tensor Processing Systems (TPUs), specialized hardware (ASICs) developed by Google to accelerate artificial intelligence.
- Purdue will also receive relied on tester program access to Google DeepMind’s co-scientist, a multi-agent AI system developed with Gemini created to help researchers produce novel hypotheses and research proposals.
- Purdue will produce a Google AI Center space within the university’s Hall of Data Science and AI, to work as “a dynamic school space where trainees and scientists link to trigger hands-on partnership and breakthrough development.”
