Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, has opened the JUPEB Program admission type for the 2026/2027 academic session. The programme provides prospects a route to Direct Entry admission into 200 level in OAU, other universities in Nigeria, or abroad. For many candidates, that is the main point; a one-session programme with a clear scholastic

Tabulation What the JUPEB program means JUPEB is a nationwide evaluation body that conducts assessments for students who have actually finished authorized subject combinations and seek Direct Entry admission into Nigerian and partner foreign tertiary organizations.
The examination body was authorized by the Federal Government of Nigeria to fill the space produced by the discontinuance of Advance Level Examinations.
Who can apply
To be eligible for examinations that cause the award of JUPEB Direct Entry Certificates, a prospect needs to have gone through an extensive scheme of academic work connected to the proposed university course.
The standard entry requirement for enrolment is a minimum of five credit passes in the Senior Secondary Certificate Evaluation, SSCE, or General Certificate of Education, GCE, Ordinary Level. The topics need to relate to the selected university course.
Topics and course structure
Each prospect needs to sign up, sit for assessments, and satisfy the Board in 3 topics and one General Researches course connected to the proposed course in any university.
Each subject is gotten into four courses. A prospect takes 2 courses per semester, making four courses in that subject by the end of the program.
The lead to all the courses are combined at the end of the 2nd semester to produce the candidate’s grade in that topic.
Each prospect is expected to take twelve courses in all; six per semester, together with a General Studies course.
The General Researches part for each university faculty is based on the appropriate general courses suggested for that professors by each university.
How the grading works
At the end of the program, students who complete it will receive certificates based on their level of performance.
The certificate brings letter grades of A, B, C, D, E or F in each of the 3 subjects and in the General Researches paper.
What prospects still need for university admission
Passing the JUPEB evaluations for the Direct Entry Certificate is one part of the process.
For admission into any university, each prospect should also satisfy every other condition set by the university of choice. That point matters; the certificate stands with the university’s own admission guidelines.
Duration of the program
The duration of the scholastic program for the Board’s assessment is a minimum of one academic session made up of two terms.
