The Nigerian Army Education Corps has presented a nationwide scholastic support effort focused on enhancing trainees’ performance throughout Command Secondary Schools ahead of key external evaluations.

The program, spearheaded by Acting Corps Leader Education, Yushau Dogara Ahmed, is designed to reinforce both teaching quality and trainees’ preparedness for assessments performed by West African Examinations Council (WAEC), National Examinations Council (NECO), and the Joint Admissions and Enlisting Board (JAMB).

Speaking at the launch, Ahmed directed Command Secondary Schools across the country to organise specialised scholastic workshops and targeted training sessions for instructors and Senior Secondary School Three (SS3) trainees.

“All Command Secondary Schools are to arrange specialised academic workshops and training sessions to enhance teaching effectiveness and reinforce trainees’ readiness for WAEC, NECO and JAMB examinations,” he stated.

As part of the effort, schools will execute intensive revision classes, academic clinics, and assessment technique workshops focused on core disciplines. The sessions are being assisted in by knowledgeable education officers and subject experts, providing students with practical guidance, modification assistance, and time management methods for examinations.

The programme, that includes a seven-day intensive training for teachers and SS3 trainees scheduled between March and April 2026, belongs to a wider effort by the Nigerian Army Education Corps to boost instructional capacity and academic quality.

“This initiative is part of our broader dedication to enhancing teachers’ educational capability and equipping students with the scholastic skills necessary for exceptional performance in external assessments,” Ahmed included.

The initiative is anticipated to additional enhance the standing of Nigerian Army schools as centres of discipline, academic excellence, and holistic advancement, lining up with global best practices in education.
