ABUJA, FCT– The non-governmental organisation, “PATH To Follow” has required the facility of deliberate programs to guarantee the comprehensive integration of physically challenged kids into all developmental activities.

The advocacy was highlighted during a tactical go to by the job group to the FCT School for the Blind Kid in Jabi, Abuja, on Monday, March 23, 2026.

Speaking throughout the visit, the FCT Impairment Addition Programme Officer for the job, Pastor Oghenerukevwe Lucky, expressed concern over the systemic neglect of physically challenged individuals by individuals and corporate entities.

He stressed that true empowerment for these kids should extend beyond the arrangement of food and perishable items to consist of robust moral and civic education.

The “course To Follow” task aims to gear up physically challenged pupils with the fundamental understanding essential to browse social challenges and achieve future leadership roles.

Pastor Fortunate kept in mind that being intentional about civic education is a prerequisite for the holistic development of trainees who are typically sidelined in mainstream instructional discourse.

To drive this effort, the organisation announced plans to collaborate with the FCT School for the Blind on a series of interactive activities, consisting of:

  • Specialized Lectures: Concentrated on civic rights, duties, and moral worths.

  • Oral Tests: Designed to evaluate and enhance the trainees’ understanding of social ethics.

  • Incentivized Quality: Exceptional participants will be rewarded with scholarships, educational rewards, and presents at the conclusion of the programme.

Responding to the initiative, the school’s Vice Head Teacher, Mr. Osai, admired the NGO for its intervention, prompting the pupils to take the opportunities provided to enhance their well-being and academic standing.

In a different engagement at the Adventist Design School Inter-House Sports event in Abuja, the Task Coordinator, Chikezie Allwell Chinkata, extended the advocacy to parents and teachers.

He criticized the practice of enforcing profession paths on kids, which often disregards their natural skills and dispositions.

The Head Teacher of Adventist Model School, Mr. Manseh Alabura, applauded the stakeholders for their support, noting that such collective efforts are important for making sure that students remain healthy and morally grounded in a significantly complex world.
