Polytechnic Validates Suspensions Amidst Appeals for Executive Action

Responding to the allegations, the Polytechnic Spokesperson, Mr John Onimisi, confirmed that the organization’s management has taken direct disciplinary action against impacted academic personnel.

Onimisi divulged that seven speakers were suspended on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. 6 were punished for requiring unauthorised textbook and handout sales on students, while one lecturer was suspended particularly for unwanted sexual advances.

“The disciplinary committee of the polytechnic is currently examining the claims, and the result will be provided to journalists,” Onimisi mentioned, though he did not explicitly deal with the reports of nighttime cult activity.

Meanwhile, student groups and moms and dads have appealed to Kogi State Guv, Usman Ododo, to intervene straight, calling for an independent audit to restore academic integrity and safety across the organization.
