In between Emil-Figge-Straße 50 and the “Straße der Ingenieure” (Street of the Engineers), the organizations, departments, and trainee councils provided a wide range of activities. For example, visitors of all ages could check their skills in an archaeology battle, attempt various sports such as archery or bouldering, or wear a VR headset to fly through a virtual logistics course as a drone.
The Summer season Festival also offered culinary thrills: at their booths, trainees sold international meals from their home countries and churned ice cream utilizing liquid nitrogen. Providing the soundtrack were DJs, ensembles, and live bands– consisting of professors, students, and staff performing live on phase. Bollywood rhythms and rousing rock ‘n’ roll thrilled the crowd during performances by the university sports’ Bollywood and Rock ‘n’ Rookies dance troupes. The cheerleading group delighted viewers with their acrobatic stunts.
The conventional celebration was supported by the Association of Buddies of TU Dortmund University (GdF), Sparkasse Dortmund, and the Studierendenwerk Dortmund (Association for Trainee Affairs).
