  for its 2025/2026 postgraduate programs. The admission covers PhD, MPhil/PhD, Master’s, and Postgraduate Diploma programs throughout several Schools and Centres. The procedure runs completely online; candidates are expected to follow each step with care. Table of contents General admission requirements PhD programs Prospects need to: Hold a Master’s degree from FUTMINNA or any recognised university Have a minimum weighted average of 60 percent, or CGPA of 3.50 on a 5.00 scale Departments might prescribe

  extra courses where a prospect’s background is thought about weak. Master’s degree programmes Candidates should meet one of the following: Second Class Honours (Lower Division) degree from a

recognised university Third Class Honours degree with at least two years post-graduation experience

HND with Lower Credit plus Postgraduate Diploma with Lower Credit and one year experience

• Some candidates may be needed to pass a certifying assessment. Where this uses, an extra cost of N2,000 is charged. MPhil/PhD programmes Prospects should: Hold a Master’s degree in the pertinent field or associated area Have a minimum CGPA of 2.50 Applicants who do not fulfill the 3.50 CGPA for PhD may be considered for MPhil/PhD if they fulfill the 2.50 requirement. Candidates with professional Master’s degrees are not qualified. Applicants from non-English speaking countries need to provide an English efficiency certificate. 3 referee reports are required.
