The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has actually appointed Professor Hezekiah Adedayo Ayoola as the Performing Dean of its newly established School of Architecture.
The consultation, approved by the Vice-Chancellor, Teacher Adenike Oladiji, took effect from August 1, 2026.
Up until his new visit, Professor Ayoola worked as the Head of the Department of Architecture, a position he held from August 1, 2023. He is anticipated to pioneer the freshly developed School of Architecture and supply the leadership needed to place it for academic quality.

He also holds a Bachelor of Innovation (Honours) degree in Architecture from Ladoke Akintola University of Innovation, Ogbomoso.
Teacher Ayoola began his academic profession as an Assistant Lecturer at Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Ikeji-Arakeji, in 2009 before signing up with FUTA as a Lecturer II in October 2011. He rose through the scholastic ranks and was promoted to the rank of Professor in 2023.
Throughout his career, he has published more than 60 academic articles in credible local and global journals and conference procedures. He has likewise supervised numerous postgraduate trainees at the master’s and doctoral levels.
Ayoola is a signed up member of the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON), the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA), and the Association of Architectural Educators in Nigeria (AARCHES). He was recently authorized for elevation to the rank of Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Architects.
FUTA said the Acting Dean is anticipated to supply tactical management for the School of Architecture, guide its staff and students, and drive its development in line with the university’s vision of scholastic quality and innovation.
