The Enugu State Government has started the recruitment of 6,580 personnel for academic, technical and administrative positions in public main and junior secondary schools, with the majority of the consultations targeted at its 267 Smart Green Schools initiative.

The recruitment exercise, approved by Governor Peter Mbah, was announced in a job notice released by the Executive Chairman of the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB), Hyginus Banko.

Although construction work is still ongoing at a number of the Smart Green Schools, the federal government stated the recruitment is part of preparations to guarantee the organizations are properly staffed ahead of complete operations.
