The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan, provided the caution while presiding over a conference of the Ministerial Tenders Board in.
Throughout the conference, Enitan advised directors and members of the board to maintain the greatest standards of diligence, transparency and responsibility in the handling of procurement matters within the ministry.
He emphasized the importance of rigorous adherence to the provisions of the and other recognized procurement guidelines directing government transactions.
According to him, the Ministerial Tenders Board plays a vital statutory function in making sure that procurement activities within the ministry are carried out transparently and in line with due process.

He therefore prompted board members to show professionalism, objectivity and mindful attention when reviewing submissions and memoranda brought before them.

Enitan also directed the Director of Procurement to ensure that all proceedings of the board are properly recorded and backed to keep precise authorities records.
