ECA, which is moving towards international campus delivery designs as it enters its third years in worldwide education, will support Birkbeck’s India campus operations as the institute aims to “provide students direct exposure to international service environments”.
The partnership was officially marked by a launch and finalizing event participated in by senior figures including Dr Vineet Joshi, chairman, University Grants Commission (UGC) and UK high commissioner to India, Lindy Cameron, together with Birkbeck vice-chancellor Sally Wheeler.

With around 20 universities now opening or preparing branch schools in India– particularly from the UK and Australia– ECA introduced a new division, UniQuad, last year targeted at establishing “advanced” education hubs across cities consisting of Bengaluru, Delhi and Ahmedabad, providing Indian trainees access to internationally identified courses, certifications and profession pathways.
