  • Connect NextGen Hackathon 2026: How to Apply, Focus Areas, Eligibility, Deadline

    Applications are open for the Connect NextGen Hackathon 2026. The Link NextGen Hackathon (powered by Ericsson, in cooperation with the Federal Government of Nigeria and Tech Transformation Africa)is a nationwide programme established to recognize, assistance, and scale early-stage tech startups building solutions for Africa’s pressing challenges.

    Selected startups will go through an extensive hackathon and a velocity programme; teams get mentorship, exposure, and access to strategic partners to help move concepts into sustainable, impact-driven ventures.

  • efficiency, and digital gain access to FinTech: digital tools that improve payments, banking, and financial addition HealthTech: tech that improves health care gain access to, shipment, and results AgriTech: solutions that boost farming performance and
  • food systems EdTech: digital options that enhance learning and abilities development
  • Web of Things (IoT): connected devices that allow clever, systems
  • CleanTech: technologies concentrated on tidy energy and environmental protection
  • AI/ML: smart systems that automate tasks and drive better choices
  • Sustainability: services that support long-lasting social, economic, and ecological impact
  • Advantages for chosen startups

    Picked start-ups will get:

    • An 8-week intensive acceleration programme
    • Technical and company mentorship from market specialists
    • Access to funding opportunities and investor networks
    • Exposure through media, partners, and community platforms
    • Networking with government, corporate, and environment stakeholder groups
    • A chance to pitch live at the Hackathon Demonstration Day

    Eligibility

    To certify, startups must:

    • Run in Nigeria
    • Have a minimum viable item (MVP)
    • Show quantifiable traction or pilot use
    • Be gender-inclusive in team structure

    Application process

    After submission, candidates will get a verification e-mail; applications will be reviewed, and just shortlisted or picked startups will be contacted with next steps.
