Kaduna State University (KASU) is set to train its non-teaching staff on the implementation of the Staff member Efficiency Management Appraisal System (EPMAS), a brand-new framework created to improve employee performance and performance across the state.
The university revealed this in a circular dated August 7, 2026, signed by its Registrar, Samira Balarabe, Esq.
. According to the circular, the step-down training is being arranged in line with the directive and schedule of the Office of the Head of Service, Kaduna State, following the planned implementation of EPMAS throughout Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the state.
The new appraisal system is expected to change the existing Employee Performance Appraisal procedure with a more structured efficiency management structure based on Secret Efficiency Indicators (KPIs) and measurable work targets.
The training for all non-teaching personnel of the university is arranged to hold on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the 1,000-Seater Lecture Theatre, KASU, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
. The Registrar directed heads of colleges, faculties, departments and systems to guarantee that all staff under their guidance go to the training as arranged.
The circular emphasised that presence is mandatory, alerting that disciplinary measures would be taken versus personnel who refuse to take part in the training.
The university management advised all worried staff to comply with the application of the brand-new appraisal system.
