Kwara State University, Malete (KWASU), has emerged winner of the 2026 Creative Advertising Pitch Competitors organised by the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON).

The university’s group defeated other participating organizations from across the country at the national competitors hung on Thursday, August 6, 2026, throughout ARCON’s fourth Yearly Colloquium at the D’Podium Occasion Centre, Ikeja, Lagos.

The colloquium, themed “The Future of Marketing: Role of Platforms, People and Guideline,” featured undergraduate teams from chosen tertiary organizations that got approved for the competition following an extensive screening process.

The getting involved teams were examined on imagination, tactical thinking, innovation and presentation skills as they pitched interaction project ideas before a panel of industry professionals.

KWASU secured the overall first position with a remarkable 489.5 points, completing ahead of the University of Ilorin, which came second, and Rivers State University, which positioned third.

The triumphant KWASU team made up five students from the Department of Mass Interaction: Olusola Oyedele Oladeji, Adeosun Omotoyosi, Adeola Adeyemi Precious, Olagunju Boluwatife and Olawoyin Habeebulahi.

The group’s winning discussion earned commendation from the judges for its originality, tactical insight and engaging shipment.

The success further highlights the quality of training, imagination and emerging talent within KWASU’s Department of Mass Interaction, while placing the university among the leading institutions supporting the next generation of marketing and communication specialists in Nigeria.
