What do you like the majority of about your job?
Technically my task is being a high school junior. CamBright is the important things I do around it. What I like most is seeing where people log in from. We’ve had trainees from Sudan, Lebanon and dozens of other countries, much of them positions where paid prep simply is not an alternative, all preparing for the very same tests I am in Washington State.
My IB friends and I compare notes constantly, and it is the same story everywhere: same curricula, same mock exam panic, every continent. Being a small part of that is the very best part.
Describe a project or initiative you’re currently dealing with that excites you.
Growing our free tutoring program. Content resolves half the issue; tutoring solves the confidence half, which is the part that costs families the most. Our volunteer tutors mean a trainee anywhere in the world can get assist with additional mathematics without anybody asking for a card number. That still feels a little unreal to me.
What’s a piece of work you’re proud of, and what did it teach you?
CamBright’s previous papers library. It sounds unglamorous, but it is what trainees requested for very first and utilize most. It taught me that accessibility is primarily not an innovation problem. A conversation with my IB pals at school. Start smaller sized than feels remarkable and let real users inform you what matters. Likewise, being 17 is not a disqualification. Sometimes it is the factor individuals take your problem seriously.
