
University of Kentucky Initiative to Advance AI Efforts Across the School and State
The University of Kentucky has actually launched CATS AI (Commonwealth AI Transdisciplinary Technique), a campuswide effort targeted at advancing AI throughout the institution’s 17 colleges, libraries, research centers, and institutes; its academic and health care business; and throughout the state. It will likewise serve to “link and magnify” existing initiatives throughout campus, such as UK ADVANCE, the Center for Applied Expert System, and the AI/ML Hub, the university stated.
FELINES AI will be led by a steering committee of university leaders who will supervise five subcommittees focused on education, research, trainee experience, healthcare, and office administration, UK said. Interim co-directors Ian McClure, UK vice president for development, and Heath Rate, UK associate vice president for collaborations, have stepped up to assist the effort while the university look for a long-term director.
