
International Master’s programs
Under the name “International Academy for German Engineering and Science” (IAGES), the University Alliance Ruhr– Ruhr University Bochum (RUB), TU Dortmund University and the University of Duisburg-Essen– and Hochschule Düsseldorf– University of Applied Sciences (HSD) will likewise use brand-new degree programs there in the future, with the objective of protecting skilled experts in the following locations: energy system conversion, sustainability and digitalization. Space for innovation
The brand-new centers cover around 900 m2, with state-of-the-art workshop and media devices. In the future, they will be used for research study purposes, in-service certificate courses and practice-oriented transfer activities. The 3rd area consists of the brand-new “Masterclass in Lunch & Learn Format”, which will take place on campus every Tuesday at 12 pm from 25 November onward. This format unites students, teaching staff and business representatives for an open conversation of current subjects connected to the energy transition and sustainability transformations.
The very first students are already benefiting this winter term from company scholarships offered by the EUREF partners Schneider Electric and SPIE. The very first two English-taught Master’s programs, “Management of Smart and Sustainable Energy Systems” and “Sustainable Energy and Hydrogen Facilities”, have currently been certified for the 2025/2026 winter season semester. The plan is for two additional programs to follow next year.
