The Federal government has launched the outcomes of the 2026 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE), with 10 candidates becoming the total greatest scorers after each taped 202 marks out of the optimum available 210.

Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Sa’idu Ahmad, announced the results on Thursday in Abuja throughout the official discussion by the National Examinations Council (NECO).

According to the minister, 70,357 candidates signed up for the examination, while 66,950 sat for the test performed on June 6 across Nigeria, the Benin Republic and Togo. She revealed that 3,407 candidates were missing.

Prof. Ahmad said the evaluation also tape-recorded its most affordable rating, with 82 candidates scoring just one mark, highlighting the wide performance gap among prospects.

She explained the National Common Entryway Assessment as one of Nigeria’s many competitive entrance evaluations and the entrance for admission into Junior Secondary School One (JSS1) in the nation’s 80 Federal government Colleges, also called Unity Colleges.

“The National Common Entrance Evaluation is carried out yearly for certified Nigerian kids, both at home and abroad, looking for admission into the Federal Government Colleges spread out across the nation,” the minister stated.

The minister likewise launched the results of the entrance examination into the Federal Government Academy, Suleja. She divulged that 2,071 prospects registered for the assessment, 1,876 sat for it, while 195 were missing. The highest score tape-recorded was 187 marks, while the lowest was 4.

Prof. Ahmad reaffirmed that admission into Federal government Colleges would continue to be based on the existing criteria of 60 percent merit, 30 per cent equality of states and 10 percent exigency.
