
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has actually approved six brand-new undergraduate scholastic programmes for the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUT Minna), with impact from the 2026/2027 academic session.
The approval followed a resource assessment workout carried out by a panel of NUC experts to evaluate the human and material resources available for the facility of the proposed programmes at the university.
According to a statement by FUT Minna, the newly authorized full-time programs are B.Tech. Expert System, B.Tech. Intelligence and Security Studies, B.Eng. Nuclear Engineering, B.Tech. Nuclear Science, B.Tech. Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, and B.Eng. Mining Engineering.
The university said the approval was conveyed in a letter signed on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the NUC, Professor Abdullahi Yusuf Ribadu, by the Director of Academic Preparation, Abubakar M. Girei.
The institution kept in mind that the programs will be used on a full-time basis at its main campus and will commence from the 2026/2027 academic session.
The approval is anticipated to expand FUT Minna’s academic offerings and reinforce its capacity to offer specialised training in emerging and tactical fields crucial to nationwide advancement.
