New information have actually emerged in the investigation into the deadly dorm room fire at Utumishi Girls Academy, with CCTV video reportedly revealing a group of trainees allegedly associated with beginning the blaze that claimed the lives of 16 women and hurt dozens of others.
According to private investigators, the video footage recorded events leading up to the fire, which broke out in the early hours of Might 28 at the school in Gilgil, Nakuru County.
Detectives taking a look at the video footage stated that at about 12:10 a.m., 5 students were seen going into the dormitory while most of the occupants were asleep. The trainees apparently approached Cube 11 before continuing even more into the building without speaking with one another.
Investigators noted that one of the students appeared to conceal her face from the monitoring cameras while carrying a slipper, which authorities think may have been intended to lower sound while moving through the dorm.
The video footage allegedly reveals 3 of the students later heading towards the dormitory exit, leaving two others behind. Those 2 students are presumed of sparking the very first fire after supposedly striking a match before calmly leaving.
