The office is located at the State Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan and becomes part of a trilateral cooperation in between the UA Ruhr, the Academy and the German-Kazakh University (DKU). The goal is to sustainably broaden and institutionalize scientific cooperation with partner institutions in Central Asia.

Stronger regional presence

“The opening of the workplace will offer our UA Ruhr intermediary workplace with regional assistance in Kazakhstan. This indicates that the strategically crucial and geographically substantial area of Eastern Europe/Central Asia can be supported a lot more intensively in future,” states Elena Resch, Director of the Intermediary Office.
