AKTH Post Basic Nursing admission requirements
An applicant should satisfy the list below conditions:
Registered Nurse status and licence
The candidate needs to be a Registered Nurse with a current practicing licence gotten from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
O’Level subject requirements
The applicant must have at least 5 O’Level credit passes in no more than two sittings. The required topics are:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Biology
- Chemistry
The accepted assessment bodies are GCE, WAEC, NECO, NABTEB and NBAIS.
NABTEB and NBAIS are not combinable with any other examination such as WAEC or NECO. A combination of WAEC and NECO, or NECO and WAEC, is accepted.
Work experience
The candidate should have at least one year post-qualification experience, ideally in a severe care setting.
