The notification was available in a statement signed by the Registrar and Chief Executive of NECO, Professor Dantani Wushishi. It reminded schools, owners, principals, and commandants of secondary schools to complete candidate registration within the approved dates.

Normal registration closes on Monday, 25 May 2026.
Late registration closes on Friday, 29 May 2026.
The declaration stated: “The last date for the regular registration of prospects by schools is Monday, 25th May 2026, while the due date for late registration is Friday, 29th May 2026, without any additional extension.”
