    PLAC Legislative Internship Programme 2026

    The Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre, PLAC, is running a 10-week full-time Legal Internship Program for 2026. The programme is backed by the European Union, EU, and targets young Nigerians who want to gain knowledge of legislative practice and process at the National Assembly.

    It is a full-time positioning in Abuja, FCT, and the internship will range from May 2026 to July 2026.

    How to use

    Applicants are to follow these actions:

    Visit the application portal

    Go to the PLAC internship recruitment portal.

    Complete the type and upload a CV

    Candidates should finish the online application and publish a CV in Microsoft Word or PDF format. The file should be conserved in the candidate’s name.

    The CV should consist of:

    • State of origin
    • Date of birth
    • NYSC service information, consisting of place of service

    Include a statement of function

    Candidates need to position a “Statement of Function” on the last page of the CV. The declaration needs to discuss why the applicant wants to take part in the internship.

    PLAC provides these limitations:

    • CV needs to not be more than 2 pages
    • Declaration of Function should not be more than 300 words
    • Both should be combined and submitted as one document
    • Overall length should not be more than three pages

    PLAC likewise says applicants will copy and paste the Declaration of Purpose into the online type.

    Application due date

    All applications need to be submitted by 11:59 PM, West Africa Time, WAT, on Friday, 10 April 2026.

    PLAC says late applications will not be considered. Applications that do not satisfy the stated requirements will also not be considered.

    Shortlisting and equal opportunity note

    PLAC states just shortlisted prospects will be contacted for an interview.
