Rep. Unyime Idem scholarship 2026/2027 for 200 trainees

Rep. Unyime Idem has announced a scholarship programme for 200 undergraduate, Masters and Ph.D. trainees from Ukanafun/Oruk

Anam Federal Constituency who study in Nigerian federal universities. The legislator, who represents Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency and serves as Chairman of your home of Representatives Committee on Public Procurement, made the announcement through the Unyime Idem Education Scholarship Programme. The scheme forms part of his commitment to the academic development of his constituents.

The program is open to undergraduates, Masters students, and Ph.D. candidates in Nigerian federal universities. Just full-time trainees can apply; part-time trainees are not eligible.

The scholarship is for trainees studying these courses:

• Sciences
• Engineering
• Economics
• Accounting
• Law
• Computer Science/Engineering

What the scholarship covers

The scholarship status is full. It covers tuition, living expenditures, and accommodation; that Complete package is plainly specified in the notification.

Requirements for undergraduate candidates

Undergraduate applicants should be in 200 Level and above.

They should send these documents:

• Proof of statement of WAEC/SSCE/NECO results with at least 5 credits, consisting of English Language and Mathematics, in not more than 2 sittings
• Letter of admission into the university
• Valid trainee identity card
• Last school charge receipt
• Very first year or preceding year scholastic transcript, appropriately signed and stamped by the HOD, Exams Officer, or any authorised personnel
• Certificate of indigeneship, revealing state of origin and city government
• NIN card or slip
• Individual statement of a minimum of 1000 words mentioning reasons for carrying out the course of study

Requirements for Masters applicants

Masters candidates need to have full-time admission into a federal university.

They need to submit or satisfy the following:

• Full-time admission letter into any federal university
• Valid trainee identity card
• Last school fee invoice
• A minimum of Second Class Lower (2.2 )
• 2nd Class Upper (2:1) has benefit
• At least 5 credits in WAEC/SSCE/NECO outcomes, in not more than 2 sittings, and the two results should precede the very first degree
• NYSC certificate or letter of exemption
• Certificate of indigeneship, showing state of origin and city government
• NIN card or slip
• Individual statement of at least 1000 words specifying factors for undertaking the course of study

Requirements for Ph.D. candidates

Ph.D. candidates should also have full-time admission into a federal university.

They need to submit or satisfy the following:

• Full-time admission letter into any federal university
• A minimum of Second Class Lower (2.2 )
• 2nd Class Upper (2:1) has advantage
• Legitimate trainee identity card
• Last school cost receipt
• A minimum of benefit in a second-degree certificate
• At least 5 credits in WAEC/SSCE/NECO outcomes, in not more than 2 sittings, and the 2 outcomes must precede the first degree
• NYSC certificate or letter of exemption
• Certificate of indigeneship, revealing state of origin and local government
• NIN card or slip
• Research location should matter
• Ph.D. research study proposition of not more than 6 pages
