
UTURU, ABIA STATE– Abia State University (ABSU), Uturu, is set to hold a combined 30th, 31st, and 32nd convocation ceremony, marking a tactical “reset” for the 45-year-old institution.
Speaking at a pre-convocation press instruction on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Ndukwe J. Okeudo, described the occasion as an epoch-making milestone that clears a considerable backlog while signalling the university’s international repositioning.
The events, which start on Wednesday, March 25, will culminate in the graduation of 10,255 trainees across undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional tiers on Friday, March 27, 2026.
Developments in Research and Innovation
Teacher Okeudo highlighted that the university’s scholarly output is seeing a renaissance, especially in high-impact sectors.
