
The Federal Government has inaugurated the principal officers of freshly established federal tertiary institutions in addition to the management of the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE), in a relocation focused on reinforcing Nigeria’s higher education system and promoting innovation.
The inauguration ceremony was carried out by the Minister of Education, Maruf Tunji Alausa, at the headquarters of the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja on Wednesday.
According to the minister, the recently inaugurated officers will provide leadership for the Federal University of Science and Innovation, Epe in Epe and the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Federal Polytechnic in Abuja.
Dr. Alausa stated the consultations show the Federal government’s commitment to broadening access to quality tertiary education while strengthening instructor training and institutional governance.
“The inauguration of these principal officers reflects the Federal Government’s decision to broaden access to quality tertiary education, strengthen teacher education, and position Nigerian institutions as centres of innovation and research,” he said.
