The 2026/2027 African Liberty Writing Fellowship is open for applications. African Liberty states the fellowship is a 12-month programme created to determine, train and enhance emerging African writers who care about the concepts of flexibility, private rights and minimal government.
Applications opened on 1 March 2026 and will close on 30 April 2026.
What the fellowship offers Picked individuals will take part in a structured, year-long composing advancement program from July 2026
- to July 2027. Through the fellowship, participants will: work carefully with knowledgeable editors receive a regular monthly stipend as leading contributors gain chances
for television and radio features get released in leading African papers That mix provides the fellowship a clear shape; training, writing support, and public exposure sit at the centre of it.
