
As in every year, the start and surface areas lie at Martin-Schmeißer-Platz. The officially determined 2.5 km course passes through the Campus Nord and is run once to 4 times, depending upon the discipline. In the 5 km run, as tradition has it, costumed groups will when again remove. Particularly enthusiastic participants are likewise competing this year for the title of School Champ: to attain this, they must complete the 5 km and 10 km runs as well as the Mathetower Run as quickly as possible.

at the School Run This year, the Campus Run
belongs to an international sports event: it is integrated into the main torch relay of the FISU Games (World University Games ), which will be kept in the Ruhr area in July. 4 runners will each carry the torch for 2.5 km during the relay across the school. For the torch relay, TU Dortmund University has already chosen rower David Keefer, the silver medalist at the FISU Games in Chengdu 2023, and track and field professional athlete Karolina Haas from this year’s prospects squad for the World University Games. TU students had the ability to use through a competition for among the four relay spots, and another beginning area is still to be designated.
