Applications are now open for the 2026 Citizen Entrepreneurship Competitors. The programme unites a global community around entrepreneurship and gives entrants an opportunity to present ideas and options for today’s difficulties.
The Person Entrepreneurship Competitors, likewise called CEC, is aimed especially at young business owners. It supports them as they establish ideas for a more serene and sustainable world; entrants are motivated to develop concepts with social effect and connect them to one or more of the 17 UN Sustainable Advancement Goals.

Who can apply
The competition welcomes entrepreneurs from age 13 and up. Those who meet that age mark can submit a concept and participate in the 2026 edition.
What individuals are expected to do
Applicants are asked to submit a short pitch. That pitch is reviewed against the competitors criteria.
Participants must also complete the “Brains versus Capital” and “Sustainable Entrepreneurship” courses, then complete the Entrepreneurial Design Canvas, called the EDC.
When all requirements are satisfied, the idea can progress for voting.
The three competitors stages
The competitors runs in three stages.
1. Idea submission and entrepreneurial style
Participants submit a short pitch in the control panel under “My idea/project”. The pitch is examined against the set requirements. Entrants also complete the required courses and fill out the EDC.
2. Ballot
All ideas are released, and participants can gather votes while supporting one another.
Concepts that complete both courses and completely finish the EDC will move into the Voting Phase instantly and will be posted on the public website.
3. Jury choice
The ten submissions with the most votes will go to the final stage. A specialist jury will assess them and pick the winners.

2 March 2026
The 2026 Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition opens.
From this date, individuals can send a concept as a pitch in the control panel under “My idea/project”.
4 May 2026
This is the last day for submissions.
It is also the last day to complete both the “Brains versus Capital” and “Sustainable Entrepreneurship” courses, in addition to the Entrepreneurial Style Canvas.
The organisers state that late review may affect a pitch if it is sent too near the deadline; applicants may likewise waste time needed to meet the competition requirements. They also ask individuals to submit the idea for voting. When the full requirements are fulfilled, the voting button will appear directly in the concept entry.
5 May 2026
The Ballot Phase begins.
All ideas that have completed both courses and the full EDC will move into voting automatically and appear on the public website.
5 June 2026
The Voting Stage ends.
Individuals still have the entire day to gather votes. At midnight, voting closes and no more votes can be cast. After that, the organisers will review the votes gathered and reveal the finalists as quickly as possible.
The organisers also mention that any kind of control or scams throughout voting will be monitored closely. Invalid or phony votes will be eliminated. In extreme cases, a participant may be disqualified. Fair and transparent ballot stays part of the procedure.
6 June to 22 June 2026
Votes will be evaluated, and the jury will examine the final entries.
23 June 2026
The winners will be revealed.
The leading 10 submissions with the most votes will advance to the finals. At that stage, the professional jury will award points based upon entrepreneurial vision, expediency, management, social effect, and sustainability. The winners will then be revealed on the blog.
